MS. BOOGER'S CHRISTMAS SWAN
Of course, with a name like this, there has to be a story. Sheryll Hubbard Anspach is a good friend and a very very talented beadmaker. Each year, at the conference of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers, many of the participants display and sell their work at the bead bazaar. Well, the first year that Sheryll and her husband Jim sold at the bazaar, I was visiting them and they gave me a gift of a bunch of their beads. Sheryll, known affectionately in the beadmaking community as Ms. Booger (Jim is Mr. Booger), complained about how unattractive a couple of them were, and wanted to give them away. I promised her that they were not ugly beads, but rather swans that would blossom when strung appropriately. I strung them and sent them to her. This is the second of those necklaces. Isn't the bead pretty? She promised she'll never call a bead "ugly" again.
