This was a commissioned piece, given to my friend Joyce Eubanks when she retired after 21 years in the Philadelphia Federal Defenders' Office.  Huge white freshwater button pearls frame 21 blue onyx beads flanked by 14KYGF round beads.  Because they have magnetic clasps, the necklaces can be worn as one long necklace, one two-strand necklace, or the two necklaces - of different lengths - can each be worn separately.
